Campus Ministry

Newman Catholic Community:
The Newman Catholic Community is the voice of the Catholic Students both on and off campus. The Newman Community includes Catholic students at SUNY Oneonta. All students interested are welcome to join us. Since this is a student association, meetings are organized and led by student officers.
We strive to build a community that reflects the kingdom Jesus preached. We witness to that Gospel and grow toward Christ by worshipping God, serving the less fortunate among us, and creating a community of friendship and compassion.

Peter Derway serves both Oneonta State and Hartwick Colleges, and works collaboratively with St. Mary's Church.  The Campus Ministry has an office at  SUNY Oneonta,  He is available for consultation, pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, and assisting with programs and activities at both colleges.
